We are running four FREE, fun, workshops leading to the creation of a communal mural
Inspired by the expression ‘tír gan teanga, tír gan anam (a country without a language is a country without a soul, Padraig Pearse) – these workshops will explore what it means to have and to hold (or lose) your native language. This project invites you to consider the really important words from your native language (including Irish) – the words you would want your children to carry through the generations. Take part in one or all workshops.

Contribute to a collaborative piece of art work and help us paint a picture of our community in 2019

Day one is Monday 16th September and our theme is 'What is your name? Cad is ainm duit?'
We invite you to join a delightful group of diverse people for a fun morning of art, chat with refreshments. Tell us about your name – is it an old Irish name? A familiar Westmeath name? Or a name that has travelled from South America, Eastern Europe or the Middle East to join the rich medley of local names?

Help us capture the changing makeup of our community through art and add your name to our beautiful piece of mural artwork.
10am to 1pm and booking is essential as places are limited
